How to get in/out of Rome

Arriving in a big city like Rome is always difficult: train stations, airports and traffic are always busy and complicated here !!!

Martini Bed is here to let you know how to move in and out of Rome, don’t worry !!!

Martini Bed is located near a subway station and it’s easily reachable also by car because Quadraro and Cinecittà area are open to private car traffic… also the parking is free here!

Writing this blog we want to help tourists to enjoy Rome so we will tell you how to reach Martini Bed and how to reach the city centre separately.

TRENITALIA: Italian railway biggest company

ITALO: Italian new train company ( here in Rome they stop in Ostiense and Tiburtina)

TAXI: there are fixed rate to get into the city centre from the two airports of Rome, those fares are not valid for Martini Bed (to reach us it’s cheaper than the taxi fixed fares from Ciampino and more expensive from Fiumicino)

SHUTTLE BUS: from Fiumicino to Termini or Vatican and from Ciampino to Termini

TERRAVISION: from Fiumicino and Ciampino to Termini

ATRAL: is the cheapest bus from Ciampino airport  ( € 1,2 on board) to Anagnina subway station where is possible to reach Martini Bed or other locations in Rome by metro.

Getting in Rome by train:

From Termini railway station:

  • to Martini Bed: take the subway line A and get off at Porta Furba Quadraro
  • to other location: the two lines of roman subway cross in Termini station and in Piazza dei Cinquecento (just in front of the station) there is a big bus terminal

From Ostiense railway station: arriving here by Italo give you the chance to take the metro B from Ostiense

  •  to Martini Bed: change metro in Termini (without making a new ticket) and reach Porta Furba Quadraro station
    • to other location: the two lines of roman subway cross in Termini station and in Piazza dei Cinquecento (just in front of the station) there is a big bus terminal

From Tiburtina railway station: arriving here by Italo or by bus in the bus station near the railway give you the chance to take the metro B from Tiburtina

  •  to Martini Bed: change metro in Termini (without making a new ticket) and reach Porta Furba Quadraro station
  • to other location: the two lines of roman subway cross in Termini station and in Piazza dei Cinquecento (just in front of the station) there is a big bus terminal

Getting in Rome by plane:

From Fiumicino Airport: 

  •  to Martini Bed:
  1. you can book a transfer for a discounted price that is cheaper then a normal taxi contacting Martini Bed or waiting for the first taxi available and try to reach us for € 50 (they will ask more!)
  2. you can reach Martini Bed taking the train to Fara Sabina / Orte and get off at TUSCOLANA station. Once you leave the station go to Via Gela and reach the Metro stop Pontelungo, then take the Metro A Line – Anagnina direction to Porta Furba Quadraro.
  3. Taking the train ” Leonardo Express” ( which only stops at Termini costs € 15 – guaranteed in case of strike – timetable ) and then Metro A Anagnina direction to Porta Furba Quadraro.
  4. Taking the Terravision or Shuttle bus to Termini station ( € 4 – timetable ) and then the Metro A Anagnina direction to Porta Furba Quadraro.
  • to other location: the four chances before are valid also for other location.

From Ciampino Airport: 

  • to Martini Bed:
  1. booking a car with driver: for € 45 (up to 3 or 4 people with little luggage) communicating us your flight number, arrival time and airport of departure a few days before 
  2. By taxi: Ciampino airport is just 8 km from our place, the cost is from 15 to 30 Euros
  3. Public transport ATRAL bus spending € 2.2. The bus stop (timetable) is just out of the airport ( € 1.2 ticket purchased on the bus) + Metro from Anagnina to Porta Furba Quadraro.
  4. Terravision bus that arrives at Termini (but it will greatly extend the way, so we recommend it only if you arrive at the airport after 22.00) . From Termini catch the Metro Line A direction “Anagnina” and get off at Porta Furba Quadraro , continue on Via dei Fulvi up to number 67, building B , Martini Bed
  • to other locations: look before

By car:

  • to Martini Bed: Martini Bed is situated in via dei Fulvi, 67 – 00174 Rome latitude-longitude 41.862022 12.547595 our tip is to take GRA without passing in the city centre (high risk of taxes there!). GRA has 2 rings (one per direction) check which one is the shorter way to reach EXIT 21 TUSCOLANO
  • to other locations: check where is possible to drive without a permission here
